Memories of 2013

We have had a wonderful 2013 and am so thankful for all the memories we made this year.

Jakub turned 30 and we celebrated the "suite" life.  I threw him a party in a suite at the Pittsburgh Pirates game over Labor Day weekend.  It was fantastic and we had the best time.  There were amazing fireworks, friends, and family.  Even Jakub's grandma was in from Poland.  What else could you need?

We went on a cruise in July on the Carnival Liberty to the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and Turks and Caicos.  We met some great friends and had a fun and relaxing time in each of these ports.

Christmas 2013! My parents came to visit and we took them to their first NFL game.  Unfortunately, the Cardinals lost after a hard fought battle versus the 49ers but still had a great time.

I know that 2014 will bring us many more memories and cannot wait to see what it has in store. Here's to a happy and healthy new year!

Merry Christmas! I hope that the big jolly guy was extra fabulous to you this year.

Christmas is a special holiday but it's even more special to me.  Six years ago, Jakub asked me to be his wife!  I can still remember all the details of the proposal and hope that never fades.  Love you Jakub!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Christmas is here at the Jaroszewicz house! I love decorating for the holidays...any holiday for that matter.  I got a little crafty with the tree this year and made my own garland.  I have to say it came out exactly like what I had in my head.  Thank goodness..I didn't want to end up on the board where Pinterest projects go wrong!

I always put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving...it's tradition. My Mom and I always did it and something I will do for the rest of my life.  My husband might think I'm crazy but it's just what I love to do.  I blast holiday Pandora and go to town.  Every time that I take ornaments out, it reminds me of the little story and meaning behind them.  Here are a few of my faves:

The Lenox ornament my parents bought us when we got married.  One of my favorites of all time.

The ornaments that Jakub gets me every year.  LOVE them!

My Precious Moments ornaments that I have been receiving from my parents since my very first Christmas.  A couple years ago, my mom sent me home with all of them for my tree.  Someday, I am absolutely going to do that for my child.

I can't wait for the holidays this year and am so happy all the gifts are wrapped, cards are sent, and the decorating is done. I am bummed we won't be back in Pennsylvania with our family this year but excited my parents can join us in the Valley of the Sun!

The First One

Here it is...my very first blog post. I am brand new to the blogging business so please bear with me. I thought this might be the easiest way to keep our friends and family in the loop since we're so far away. Life if definitely hectic and sometimes makes it hard to keep in touch as much as we would like to. Here goes nothing and enjoy!
